Description: The Protego SIMETICON MAX medical device is intended to be used to relieve the feeling of fullness, bloating, belching, symptoms associated with excessive accumulation of gas and air in the digestive tract, which causes tension and pressure in the intestines. Protego SIMETICON MAX reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the intestines, making them easier to break and then be excreted. Simethicone has a surface effect and does not enter into any chemical reactions. It is a pharmacologically and physiologically neutral substance. The Protego SIMETICON MAX medical device contains 240 mg of simethicone in a soft gelatin capsule. The shell ingredients are: pork gelatin, glycerol. The medical device does not contain sugar or dyes. Indications: Protego SIMETICON MAX is intended to be used as an adjuvant for preparing patients for diagnostic examinations of the abdominal cavity (ultrasound, endoscopy, radiography and colonoscopy), in order to remove gases and air from the digestive tract, which improves the quality of the images obtained. How to apply: Protego SIMETICON MAX capsules are taken orally, before or after a meal, with an adequate amount of liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water). It is not recommended to drink carbonated drinks while using the preparation. Symptoms related to tension and pressure in the intestines: Adults: 1 capsule in the morning, 24 times a day. Maximum 4 capsules per day (960 mg simethicone). Pregnant women: dosage and method of use as recommended by the doctor or pharmacist. No dose adjustment is necessary in people with diabetes. Children aged 12 to 18 years: in the morning, 1 capsule per day. Preparing for diagnostic tests: Adults: 1 capsule in the evening the day before the diagnostic test and 1 capsule in the morning, on an empty stomach, on the day of the diagnostic test. Pregnant women: dosage and method of use as recommended by the doctor or pharmacist. No dose adjustment is necessary in people with diabetes. Children aged 12 to 18 years: 1 capsule in the evening the day before the diagnostic test and 1 capsule in the morning, on an empty stomach, on the day of the diagnostic test. Warning: Do not use more than 4 capsules per day for adults and 1 capsule per day for children over 12 years of age. Simethicone may reduce the bioavailability of concomitantly administered drugs. If it is necessary to use the product concomitantly with other drugs, a break of at least one hour should be kept between the administration of the Protego SIMETICON MAX medical device and other preparations. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. In case of simultaneous use of levothyroxine and simethicone, an interval of 4 hours should be maintained. If symptoms worsen or persist for a long period of time, seek medical advice. The product can be used by people with diabetes and people with sugar digestion disorders. Store in original packaging at a temperature of 1525ºC. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Do not use the product after the expiration date stated on the blister and packaging.
