Product description MBM Pharma Platelet Pregnancy Test, 1 pc. The hCG urine pregnancy test is a quick, easy-to-perform pregnancy test. The test detects the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) at a concentration of 10 mIU/ml, which appears in urine in the early stages of pregnancy. This device is intended for in vitro diagnostic use only. This device is for self-testing purposes. After performing the test, do not take any medical action without first consulting your doctor. PRINCIPLE OF THE TEST Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone produced by the developing placenta shortly after fertilization and is excreted in the urine. The test contains antibodies that specifically react with this hormone. When a urine sample is applied to the sample site, a capillary action occurs, allowing the sample to migrate across the membrane. If a large amount of hCG is present in the urine sample, a pink, dark, or red color will be visible in the test zone. The absence of a colored line in the test zone (T) indicates a negative test result. As part of the control procedure, if the test was performed correctly, a colored line will appear in the control zone (C). TEST KIT CONTENTS A foil package containing one test strip, a pipette, and a desiccant. NOTE: The desiccant is for storage protection only and is not used in the test. Instructions for use WHAT ELSE WILL BE NEEDED? To perform the test, you will need a watch or stopwatch and a clean container to collect the urine sample. PRECAUTIONS This kit is for external use only. Do not swallow. Discard after use. The test can only be used once. Do not use the kit after the expiration date. Do not perform the test if the foil pouch has holes or is not sealed tightly. Store out of reach of small children. STORAGE AND STABILITY Store at 4°C–30°C in a sealed foil pouch until the expiration date. The kit expiration date is located on the sales packaging and label. Do not freeze. Protect from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat sources. DO NOT FREEZE. Indication of a clear plastic bag before use is a contraindication to use. WHEN TO TEST? A pregnancy test can be performed at any time of day. However, it is recommended to collect a urine sample first thing in the morning, as the hCG hormone concentration is highest at that time. WHAT TO DO WITH THE TEST RESULT? If the result is positive (two lines) You should consult your doctor, who, after reviewing all clinical and laboratory tests, will confirm your pregnancy. In some cases, the test may give a false positive result. If you are pregnant, your doctor will provide further information and advice. See also Limitations. If the result is negative (one line) If you suspect you may be pregnant (e.g., missed period), the test can be repeated a few days later. If the result is still negative, consult your doctor. See also Limitations. LIMITATIONS As with any diagnostic procedure, confirmation of pregnancy should be made by a physician after reviewing all clinical and laboratory tests. If the urine sample is too dilute (i.e., low specific gravity), it may not contain enough hCG. If pregnancy is still suspected, collect another urine sample after 48 hours and repeat the test. Low hCG concentrations may result in a negative result in early pregnancy. In this case, a urine sample should be collected 48 hours after the urine sample was collected and tested. Elevated hCG levels can be caused by several factors other than pregnancy. Therefore, the presence of hCG in a urine sample cannot be used to confirm pregnancy unless other factors have been ruled out. It is not possible to distinguish a normal pregnancy from an ectopic pregnancy based solely on hCG testing. Spontaneous miscarriages can also be caused by elevated hCG levels. Fertility treatments containing hCG may also produce false results. Consult your doctor. Contaminated samples may produce inaccurate results. This test is intended for qualitative purposes. It is not intended to determine the amount of hCG in a urine sample. Precise test result only for human urine testing. Chemical impurities in the sample or some interfering substances may cause a false result. Failure to follow or incorrect procedure may result in false results. HOW TO COLLECT URINE? The urine sample should be collected in a clean, dry plastic container. HOW TO PERFORM THE TEST? To perform the test, remove the test from its foil pouch by tearing the seal. Then, unpack the pipette and pregnancy test, which should be placed on a flat, horizontal surface. Immerse the pipette tip in the urine sample container. Squeeze the wide end of the pipette to collect the urine sample. Hold the pipette with the urine sample vertically above the urine sample window (indicated by the arrow on the test disc), and place exactly four drops of urine into the urine sample. A positive result will appear after 1 minute. However, to confirm a negative result, wait 3 minutes. Do not read the results after 5 minutes. Producer: MBM PHARMA SP.
