Belford, Ros: - Sicily expert Ros Belford lives on the remote Aeolian island of Salina, the setting for her memoir, Children of the Volcano, listed as one of the best travel books of 2024 by Wanderlust. Her twenty-year quest to understand what makes Sicily and its people tick means she is as likely to be found taking tea with a princess as she is tracking swordfish on a traditional felucca with the fishermen of Messina.
