Use of Glucomaxx ® test strips Glucomaxx ® test strips allow people with diabetes to self-monitor their blood glucose levels. The test can be performed using a fresh whole blood sample collected from the fingertip, or in selected cases, from the palm, arm, or forearm. Professionals can also perform the test on capillary or venous blood. The Glucomaxx ® system is not intended for diagnosing or screening diabetes, but for daily blood glucose monitoring. Alternative puncture sites (AST) Glucomaxx® test strips allow you to use the AST system, meaning you can take measurements not only from your fingertip but also from other body sites. However, this option only applies to certain situations: before a meal or on an empty stomach (at least 2 hours after the last meal), at least 2 hours after insulin administration, at least 2 hours after physical exercise.
